It's been an exciting spring here at The Gettig Ranch! I've had quite a bit of work coming in through Voices.com as well as repeat business from happy clients. Recently booked projects include three different e-learning modules, a regional TV spot, and narrating a promo video. Waiting in the wings are an audio book and more e-learning modules.
But hey, there's always time for one more project. Just contact me!
You never what you'll be called upon to lend your voice to when you're a voiceover artist. In the past couple of weeks, I've been busy voicing these projects:
The last couple of weeks have been very productive here! I am thankful to have been retained for a few projects, including:
- Twinlabs (web video commercial, over-the-top, big voice)
- Kalamazoo AirZoo (local theaters and cable TV flights, friendly, upbeat)
- Web-based training for a large company in St. Louis, MO (friendly, authoritative)

As I write this blog post, there is commotion in the studio space. Two of my awesome daughters are busy at work earning extra money by putting together a new desk for me. Not just any desk; this one is made for a studio. I'll post a picture when it's all done.
One of the things that can be a tough one for a voiceover to figure out is how much to charge. If you are an AFTRA or SAG member, that's easy. You get paid what the rate card says. For non-union guys like me, it's a little less clear.
I have adopted the Voices.com recommended rates for my work. I think you will find them fair and well balanced for most of the typical voiceover work. Of course, everything is negotiable. :)
My technology page is now online. You can get to it from the menu at the top of the page or by clicking here.
My latest commercial voiceover demo is online now. You can get to it here.
I added a Videos page to the site. It simply has a Vimeo widget that shows videos that I created for either work, clients, or myself.
I can teach you how to make great videos. Contact me!
Th great thing about data driven websites is you can transition from one to another pretty easily. I have a lot of Drupal related work coming up, so I thought it was time to mix things up a bit with a new look and feel here on Gettig.net.
The theme is a custom design I made with Artisteer. If you need to create your own unique theme for Wordpress, Joomla, Drupal, and a couple of other CMS packages, you should check them out.
